Can We Film Everything in One Day?

Potentially a lot. Potentially much less than you're imagining. It depends on what “everything” means.

Setup takes time.

Lights do not teleport into position. Neither do cameras. Or microphones. Or furniture. Every location and major setup change costs time. That's why filming six videos in one setup may be easy, while filming six videos in six different locations absolutely isn't.

People take time too.

Interviews. Wardrobe changes. Hair and makeup. Talent arriving late. Someone suddenly realizing they forgot the product. Production involves humans. Humans are very creative with schedules.

Simple content can move quickly.

If we're filming:

  • Founder tips
  • FAQs
  • Short educational clips
  • Several interviews on one set
  • Product variations

we can often capture a lot efficiently. That's where social content shoots work really well.

Creative production needs room.

A commercial with:

  • Different lighting setups
  • Camera movement
  • Multiple scenes
  • Styling
  • Talent
  • Product work

may need most of the day for a relatively short final piece. That's normal.

The question isn't how many videos.

It's:

  • How many setups?
  • How many people?
  • How many locations?
  • How complicated is each piece?
  • How much quality are we trying to maintain?

We can make a day work hard.

Absolutely. But there is a point where “efficient” becomes “rushing through everything and hoping it's usable.” I'd rather plan the day well than brag about filming 40 things nobody wants to post.
